2026 journaling pt 1
I need to write this now (and double post an update!!) or I might never get around to it.
I still have a couple of photos to add to last year’s journal entries. I printed everything at home on the canon selphy - Momo still HATES it. When photos print (I think it’s a dye sublimation CMYK process) he just looks very concerned… I accidentally tried to shoo him away and he got so startled and jumped maybe 3 feet in the air… I’m sorry…
I wrote very little in my entries for 2025 since I was playing a lot of catch up.
Catch-All Notebook: Personal Size 6-ring binder from Miniso
This is probably the equivalent of a TN. It’s a good size to bring with me.
I’ve been taking (illegible) notes on it with each chapter of Atomic Habits I’m reading. My intention is to compile the notes into a journal post later - but mostly I think the habit of writing down notes helps me connect with the lessons a bit more.
I also used one of the grid pages for pen drawing.
I’m also still going through my Blick order from 2016 for sketchbooks and bristol paper - I want to cut those pages down to size so that I can carry some sketch paper.
Hobonichi Weeks
I decorated the cover with stickers this time. The omega sticker is hilarious - I do read and enjoy ORV so that’s a little bonus. I also love all the cat stickers!

I feel like I always try different things to track in the Weeks. So far I am trying to track my meals (I’m back on the lunch packing train) + reading progress.
The meal tracking is because I want to be better at using up my groceries, haha.
Midori A5 Notebook Diary 2026
A5 is a must!! Last year I used my Day of the Week stickers + stamping the date. Sometimes the stamp wouldn’t look as nice or I’d accidentally use the wrong page (which I’m ok with).
This year I made it a little easier by making month/date/day stickers for myself - and I finally have added the January stickers to the journal. I did make a master copy of this so that I can edit this for the 2027 if I choose to make stickers again.

My main goal this year is to have more writing in my journal entries. Other than that I’m thinking of manually tracking my OOTD (in a simple way). I did use a closet tracker at one point but have since stopped using that. As a small victory for my closet, today I said no to a new free shirt from work (even though the design is sooo good and metal!!).
Totally miscellaneous, but PHOTOS:
I want to use my camera more (as in, be more comfortable about using it in public).
I want to start culling photos from my phone. Mostly just getting rid of duplicates and such. I think it has become such a habit to take multiple pictures just in case, and then it just stays in the photo library forever.
