For some reason, my favorite thing in fandom is to think about the characters post-series/grown up. I just like them to go through those early adulthood problems (break free from their chuuni feeligns!!!)
I feel similarly for Klance and any other similar story where teens Save The World, lol, what do you do after you’ve “peaked” at that?! There was a HP fanfic I read once (8th year) with a bittersweet ending where Draco gets sent to Azkaban for his war crimes, and before he leaves he tells Harry to move on and not peak at 17. Idr the fic name and probably won’t go out of my way to find it again, but that thought has stuck around with me.
Anyways Tenipuri future verse:
This is a future-universe that uses a lot of existing Tenipuri Canon (but not necessarily Shin Teni).
- Everyone is aged up.
- Most characters quit tennis in high school.
- A good number of characters are cis-het AMAB.
- Characters have the opportunity to interact with each other because of the career paths that they take and their networks that they expand.
(Btw timeskip!Haikyuu fueled my headcanon potential even more!!)
Okay, so I think Ootori should be some kind of celebrity. At first I was thinking… Actor??? And then a few years back I started getting into kpop very casually so I think he could be a kpop idol instead. My general thought is he could get recruited as a high schooler since he is tall and cute and has a charming personality.
Shishido (don’t separate) tries to be a legit stan and secure merch without his connections. It’s cute!!! He and Gakuto should be Atobe Corp nepo hires (also I love the Shishido-Gakuto-Jiroh elementary school trio childhood friendship).
My other ship is FujixMizuki. I just think they have potential for some really interesting dynamics outside of the TezuFuji and Mizuki/Yuuta typical ships?? I also know the fandom joke of Mizuki being extreme with his fashion, but nowaday I’m like, oh it’s nice if he just really wants to dress femme and express that beauty.
I think Fuji should quit tennis and pursue something else in college (photography???). I love the idea of Fuji finding and trying to capture beauty through his camera lens? Anyways my idea was having Mizuki realize the uni he picks is the same one that Fuji attends and he becomes reluctantly inseparable with Fuji (who is mysterious to him).
Go to the beach!! Go to art museums together. I have a vision of Fashion Designer!Mizuki going to a red carpet and Fuji standing beside him as a quiet beautiful supportive pillar (lol!!)
