diy zine stapling
Last night I printed/stapled 10 books to bring with me to Kawacon. YAY!!
Ty everyone who congratulated me and expressed interest <33
My helper:

I’ve outsourced printing of my sketch zines before, but for more experimental comic/zines ones like this I really like the freedom of printing at home.
Tools:
Bonefolder (idk when I got this)
Bostitch booklet stapler
Color Printer - cover page
B&W Printer - interior pages
You could also get the cover/pages printed elsewhere! I happen to have two printers lol. My B&W one was the main one I’ve had for years, and the color printer was treat to myself last year.
Paper used:
Epson presentation matte cardstock (had this on hand)
28lb paper for laser printer (I would love to use 32lb but I’d have to order that)
I printed everything at 100% so some parts got cut off due to bleed. But all the duplex pages lined up correctly.

^ my color printer has a rear feeder, so I moved it to my countertop for now.

Once everything was printed, the rest went by smoothly:

Fold the covers

Fold the interiors

Staple together

Zine made!!
Testing out my table display - I have to do this every time LOL. It has been a while since I’ve had a 6ft table setup as well, so I need to condense things.
I made some small changes to my display. I have a new table runner and I’m thinking of using a royal blue tablecloth to help with contrast. I also had to map out my table again… every time I think that I don’t have enough merch I lay it out and realize that I do have a lot, lol.
Also here is a blurry pic I took of how the zines will be displayed.
