sprinkle tinkle town 6.0 (art market)
I went to Sprinkle Tinkle Town this past weekend as a little day trip to Dallas.
This is a pretty niche event (but popular among artists!!). To best summarize: Sprinkle Tinkle is an art market event (with some cute activities).
The main thing that stands out for me is that it’s artist run, 100% curated, and also really supportive of artists that sell original IP work!
Also there’s a good anime/manga influenced culture, and attendees (ME) are always ready to shop so the vibes are good. I hope all the artists had an amazing time.
As always my art budget was the cash I made at my own markets. I was on the lookout to buy things from my friends and get smaller things like stickers and book/zine/comics.
Here’s what I got (grouped by theme-ish):

Merch from my artist friends, kumabrows, boxedsoy, yuyuu.shops, milki tea studios, chowpandraws.

Bandana from daifei, pepperonccini (i love the citypop feel for their works and also they are a BL fan), fun fandom artist zine from wetshrimb (very life on the hill feeling LOL @dirchansky), and some stickers from my friend Bryson McBee.

YAOI TIME!!! I got a Dan Heng x Trailblazer doujin from niicomode (OTP of mine), some ORV doujins from yiyuehua (I got the new books that were released), original BL from milorin, original BL from HABAA mart, original BL from grievvances.
When I see people make comics/doujins/zines of their OTP (especially OCS) you can really feel that passion and energy coming from their work. It’s so amazing!!

I got a catboy doujin au of julie.egg’s characters from Affogato (lol i’ve done that to my own ocs before), and participated in a heated rivalry stamp rally. To particpate in the stamp rally this is what I bought: explodikid’s doujin, lazypunch’s risograph hockey trading card set (such great colors and design aesthetic), and xiaoarts’s OC riso book (very like… stylish fashion -ish).
After that I sat with kumabrows and boxedsoy and had another great yap session about Honkai Star Rail Currency Wars 4.2 and Crazy Yaoi. They are so fun to chat with lol. I drove back to Austin after.
I feel pretty energized about the merch I want to make for my 3 upcoming cons. hehe.
Updates from the decluttering series:
- I threw away old spices that I never use in my cooking
- Got rid of trinkets that I have no use for (separate from trinkets that still bring me joy lol)
- I had another clear tub that I hadn’t gone through in years so got rid of the things inside, which included some Nice Boxes I will never use...
- I also consolidated my fabric/crafts to go into one my bigger bins.
Yesterday I FINALLY inventoried my artist alley merch so I know what I need to reorder and/or draw more designs of.
