week 12 recap
Sisa mentioned that she liked seeing me blog and asked me about how/why I've stuck with updating regularly. This made me realize that a lot of my posts are like email newsletter updates about my life (which I enjoy).
Last weekend was eventful so this weekend was a no-plan stay-at-home weekend with minimal social activities.
Usually that just means a lot more screen time (because I am either playing games or fun reading). I bypassed my IG limit multiple times on Saturday, mostly because I saw a bunch of clips of the Stray Kids fanmeet (3racha dancing to Abracadabra was so good) and kept scrolling for a bit...
Life
Earlier this week I ran an errand during my lunch break. That errand overlapped with a day I didn’t bring lunch to work, so I stopped by one of our favorite Poke food trucks and had a nice lunch outside (the actual location is a coffee shop/beer garden type of place).
Austin has a lot of these types of outdoor spots which I loveee. The place I went to has a signature latte with orange syrup which tastes a little like Fruit Loops so I opted to get that as my Thursday treat. My coworker once called an afternoon (aka caffeine too late in the day) a "naughty coffee" which I have also adopted, HAHA.
The next day I had a hair appointment in the morning (and was working a partial day remote) so I got some emails done early on and then went to my appointment. I used to do full bleach/vivid hair colors (which I loved!! I especially loved my pinks) but for the past 2 years have been going with more natural coppers/oranges with my natural root (giving my scalp a break). I’ve also gone to my hairstylist long enough that we are friends and I enjoy our catch ups.
Saturday was extremely lazy - after I had late breakfast I ended up reading and took an afternoon nap haha.
On Sunday I had a discord call with 3 of my long-time artist friends (Sisa, Soap, and Lea!). Our themed event was working on journal/scrapbook things, but mostly it’s just a fun hang out time that we try to do every couple of months or so where we can chat in real time. We originally met because we all joined the same deviantArt roleplay group and drawn our OCs regularly since then.
I also stopped by 85c earlier in the morning for some bread snacks. I originally thought about going to a figure drawing meetup Sunday night, but didn’t feel like changing into outside clothes when the time arrived.

Cross Stitch
There are no new updates since I last logged progress on 3/18 (2.5 hours so far on section 6) - I’ll probably return to this in April. I’m just tracking this progress for fun and the ~journey~.
Video Games
Sisa told me how she liked that I had a HSR mention at the end of my blog, so here are some video game updates:
Earlier this week I was thinking about old “cute” MMORPGs I tried to play back in the late 2000s (probably 2009/10) so I looked up to see if anyone as running their own server for Trickster Online. I think combat is more simple like point and click and a side “Drill System” which is basically rng. I did find a server and started a new character, but have now reached a point where the gameplay is way more grind-y and tedious so it will probably be dropped soon.
HSR is one of those games where I’m fine to pay for the 30-day check-in (essentially a monthly subscription lol) and the battle pass as long as it’s my active game. They just released Ashveil (I collect all the male characters HAHA). I haven’t started the 4.1 story quests yet…
I got semi-lucky with my pulls - I lost the 50/50 on my first 10-pull (Fu Xuan) which meant I had enough pulls saved up to get to the the guaranteed character (Ashveil). Surprisingly I got my first double 5-star pull too.
I was also able to get the lightcone early on. I do have most of the premium characters for his team too (Feixiao, Robin, Sunday, and Dan Heng PT) so I’m excited to try out his kit when I get around to it.
I’m also still deep in Currency Wars completionist mode.
FFXIV - Fanfest is in 4 weeks, so I really need to continue playing so I can be caught up to the storyline.
No ACNH updates since I fell off of playing again ha ha.
