comfort drawings
I got into another convention for my 2026 con schedule (San Japan!) - this convention is entirely lottery based so I'm happy to return.
Now I REALLY need to put myself in internet jail and work on merch (new prints, sticker sheets, and zines).
I decided to draw comfort things (ocs and otps!!!) to warm myself back up to drawing.
Starting with Klance. A NOTORIOUS FANDOM STAPLE. I get so many comments from people (bordering very unintentionally rude actually lol) that I have merch of them at my table.
HSR inspired (ish) scifi space cowboy & pirate klance. I've drawn them previously in this setting here and here.
Speaking of sci-fi, I drew my M1525 (name wip) characters again.
I tried getting back into rendering/coloring though my lines are still very loose HA HA. Maris and Shiloh. I drew Shiloh's face many times because it wasn't turning out like how I usually draw him (artist frustrations)!!
Lastly, I drew some Lost Heir drawings too.
My favorite character to draw is Day, LOL that is because I've given him a self indulgent twinky design with long hair (My Sugiura Shiho influence is showing). He's also just a side character and the sub-couple!!!
I had a recent thought that Day would be an extremely gifted mage despite his unusual upbringing. He generally dislikes anything to do with court politics and doesn't want to be the official Court Archmage either.
I like the post canon/between arc setting where the characters visit Matarin (Caelan's home and typical northern/cold kingdom with very little magic).
Drawing Day in the Matarinian Royal Library is something I like drawing frequently LOL.
I did make this low res so here's the text. I did draw/write this in the moment so it's all pseudo-canon.
Anton: the companions you've brought back are interesting
Caelan: really?
Anton: and you're livelier with them than you ever were here...
Anton: it's quite refereshing :)
Caelan: you're in much better spirits too your highness
Anton: it's "your grace" now and yes, im enjoying my house arrest :)
I haven't drawn Anton very much but he's one of my favorites (lmao tbh all of my OCS are my favorite). He's very much an anti-hero/flawed type and has his own agenda (and that is, to put his much more loved, illegitimate brother [who is very much a heroic type of character] on the throne).
What I like about this version of Anton is that he feels free/relaxed enough to joke about his "house arrest" (not real, he just calls it that) now that his brother is on the throne.
