Comic: Stay One Night
Okay, I finished my comic for Kawacon!!!
I have feelings like YAY I finished it, and that it absolutely needs a 2nd pass/revision that I won’t be doing LMAO.
I guess to explain it was kind of a practice comic for me but one that I printed and made real ^_^.
Here’s what I had fun learning:
- CSP’s comic tools
- CSP toning/bitmapping tools
- Drawing the nsfw/r18 scenes
The dialogue/pacing could be improved, but those are lessons for the next comic!!
The title is Stay One Night - I usually have to pull a name out my ass and this one is included!! My working title was “stupid ass yaoi” aka S.A.Y. I also think it’s fitting because they have a one night stand.
I saved the cover for last - I really just wanted a simple cover where you can tell it’s a BL from the start. Wysiwyg! I ended up just writing the title since I didn't find a font I wanted to use. I was also too lazy to do a designed cover.
I had some issues with converting my csp file for booklet printing - I ended up having to set up the booklet printing spreads myself. If anyone has any tips on how to better to this I’d love to hear!
There’s not too much moire issues thankfully. I also want to get a heavier weight paper for ther interor printing (but that is a minor detail).
Also after my first printing I realized I needed to edit the dialogue, lol.
(This is what a script is for if I had bothered to make one HA HA).
Anyways, yay! I finished it. My first comic project in years. I'll be printing copies today/tomorrow and then pack for Kawacon.
I made some table aesthetic upgrades too, so I'll be testing my display.
