falling on and off the habit
I can’t believe it’s almost the end of May already!!
Habits/hobbies on a “pause” right now:
- My cross stitch project hasn’t been touched since March
- I’m pretty off my analog journaling habit right now - maybe about a month behind in both my hobonichi and MD diary
- Drawing (I’ve already mentioned this one)
The main mindset I have when I fall off of these is to not worry when I fall behind on them.
small cypress had a great post about making and abandoning systems that I really enjoyed reading that kind of touches up on those systems too.
Things that I am still doing:
- Finally tidied my balcony of a broken piece of furniture I was procrastinating on throwing away
- Spring cleaning/purging in general? How did I acquire so much stuff.
- I still use my plotter to take notes while reading my Libby books :)
- Eating/cooking yummy food at home regularly (and packing lunch)
- Coffee at home regularly!!
Re: Food
Cold noodles on those warmer days, YUMMY AND REFRESHING! I think it’s funny that I keep adding carrots to everything when it’s not really a vegetable I even like. Maybe I actually like them a little.

Re: Coffee
A self report roast yesterday when all 3 of my beverages were caffeinated (coffee from home, a free cold brew, and matcha from my boss).

BTW I did drink water eventually. I put it in my Yeti straw mug, and as an added "fun" fact, I only like water bottles (like Nalgenes) that are clear (my Yeti cup has a clear straw and lid) so that I have a visual on what I'm drinking.
I’ve still been bringing coffee to work a lot and still using the pourover system and coffee grinder I borrowed from my brother. I’ve actually been enjoying having it in my morning routine (I’ll make coffee while packing my lunch).

I do still treat myself to fun coffee when I’m buying it to support a third space to draw in :D
