quick notes - 2.12 update
I just realized my previous theme didn't have pagination under the tag page (specifically my journals tag).
I discovered this because I was talking about the photo printer I use to a friend (and also on 32bit cafe discourse thread) and knew in my heart that I wrote a post in 2023 where I confessed that I bought a canon selphy even though I had purchased a polaroid hi-print photo printer just a few weeks before. But I couldn't find it! I do find that to be functionally an issue for me.
I guess I assumed my theme natively had it because I heavily use the tagging system on my art logs and have never had an issue viewing my posts through tags.
As a side note... FYI - the canon selphy is still going strong and I can still recommend it as my photo printer of choice (even though I have had some small misprint things with scratches). For me, that 2023 purchase was worth it.

^ I am not a perfectionist when it comes to journaling so this truly does not bother me (and the rest of the print quality is amazing tbh) but it's something to note.
ALSO: I have not run the math on if this printer saves me money. (Alternative options would be to continue to print 4-up photos thru a CVS/Walgreens type of situation OR print on my inkjet printer with photo paper)
I can give the numbers here:
Purchased in 2023: Canon Selphy CP1300 - purchased for $160 - came in a set that included the starter pack and a bundle with 108 4x6 photo paper + ink. (Similar CP1500 Bundle on B&H Photo today is $220).
Purchased in 2025 (through B&H Photo): Canon KP108IN Color Ink and Paper Set - $40
108 4x6 Prints. I print 4-ups so that is 432 pics total. I know I won't be able to take a photo EVERY day this year, but I do take multiple photos on some days, so I might end up with ~350 photos this year if I stay consistent.
You could probably find a working CP1300 on the secondhand market to save some money since the printer/ink is something you can purchase separately. I'm guessing that it should print fine as long as whatever components doing the sublimation printing (I guess a heat element???) still work fine.
All this to say: I've switched my theme for now and will tinker with css at another time. ty and good night!
