happy valentines!
Happy Valentines everyone!!
Here is a rose, bud, and thorn:
Dirchansky mentioned reading my life laugh yaoi post, LOL thank you for enjoying that bit of self indulgence! It made me happy to know you enjoy seeing me blog.
I also joined the 32bit discourse community for more inspo and connecting with others. Hello to those who are reading this. I also found out about the John Doe HTML template and decided to work on a small Yaoi website (for webring purposes).
St3phvee has a good post about AI bots scraping RSS feeds (nooo!)
I happened to have a few meetups planned yesterday that coincided with Valentines! We also had rainy/gloomy weather.
I met up again with the stationery meet up I went to last week. The meet up is technically something that happens once a month. Last week was a rescheduled meet up since the original date was postponed due to the freeze.

They made a super cute club ID card and I was able to pick it up!! So cute.
Had a fun time journaling. The theme this week had some decorating activities like making a trinket container and adding journal charms. This time I caught up with decorating/writing my pages since I needed to catch up. People tend to bring their washi/ephemera and I was able to decorate an orange themed spread from supplies someone brought. It was cute to see people’s themed valentine’s pages too!
I also caved and got a new container and a PET sticker roll tape.
After that I went to our scheduled doodle date.
Blony brought a button maker so it became a little event. He also gave us some valentine’s treats: chili crisp focaccia bread made by a friend of his. So yummy!

I made everyone little treat gifts. I don’t like giving trinket type of gifts and prefer giving consumables.
I worked on writing in my journal pages a little bit (but did a little more talking about OCs haha).

I also worked on this 88 x 31 button for my blog:

Not 100% satisfied but it is fun to try to work on pixel skills.
Also I guess a working title of this blog is "yap time". I think it's pretty fitting b/c I'm all over the place.
Also, my family friend (brother's friend) has been posting on his IG stories - there is proof that my brother met up with them in Japan!! I am lolling that we have not heard from my brother at all. My sister and I are close in age and our brother is ~5 years younger if that helps you visualize the sibling dynamics ha ha ha.
There is a good video that was posted where my brother is yoyo-ing in a furniture store. He has a set-up where his yo-yo can clip to the outside of his shoulder bag. I guess they must have asked him to demonstrate because you can overhear the shopkeepers saying "Uwah! Sugoi!!". So good.
I did a quick search thru my twt archive and saw that he first got into yoyos back in 2015 (that interest resurfaced in the past 6 months-ish LOL.)
