weekend 16 camera roll
I also worked on my sewing project around all of this.

Took this pic last Wednesday of the sun peeking through clouds - this makes me feel like paintings like Thomas Cole’s The Voyage of Life: Old Age.

Also this scene in the FFXIV Shadowbringers trailer where the Sin Eater is descending from the heavens:

And this one from Phainon’s trailer in Honkai Star Rail:

I did try to capture that feeling in this digital painting I did of Phainon and Mydei (not my usual style of rendering).
Cat loaf!! When Momo loafs like this where his hind legs are out he looks like a piece of roast chicken lol.

Friday
I went into work (I’m optional WFH on fridays) to take care of in person things.

I picked up a coffee treat and croissant from the building next door (redemption from the ants getting into my treats!!).

I also didn’t bring lunch so had a got a hot dog & fries for lunch (also next door - our shop is in a complex with lots of food trucks, small businesses, breweries, etc). I got a Peach Palmer :)
I’ve been doing a lot of “daily” grocery trips (adding an extra stop on my way home where it is convenient) and picked up some ingredients for fresh guacamole since I had chips and the other ingredients at home. $3 dollars and I used all the ingredients that night.

I want to make a more detailed post/zine about this later too!
Saturday
I had to drop off a package for a friend so had a nice cafe morning and caught up on writing in my journal (March 14-April 1st writings).

I stopped by a new place I had my eye on (Palomino Coffee in East Austin) - VERY cute and cozy interior. Pretty busy with people because it is so cute! SOOO many plants - it looks like it’s possible to buy them when the vendor is there. I set up at a table spot and saw a couple of the people that were also doing some analog functional journaling/writing.

I wish I took more photos! I’m a pretty confident person when it comes to going to places by myself to hang out and draw, but I want to develop more confidence with taking photos on my camera.
The Austin Creative Reuse center was nearby and I had a craft I wanted to do so I stopped in to pick up fabric swatches before dropping my package off to my friend who lives near the area.
I also had to pick up lunch - there is a Filipino restaurant nearby (I’m Filipino) so I picked up their Lumpia Shanghai appetizer (comes in 6 rolls but I cut them into thirds) and also rice LOL.

There was a Night Market type of event that my friends were vending at, so I headed over there and ate some yummy food.

Bought some things from my friends that were vending:

Sunday
Mainly worked on my sewing project (last post) and cleaning as I’ll be out of town this weekend.
