art dump 2026 part 1
edit: Wow I completely forgot to mention that I switched up the colors on my blog and went back to a clean/grid style LMAO, colors were nice but ultimately I guess I like it calm!!
I updated my Original Art Log and Fanart Log.
I took a pause on drawing again but we all know I have my other creative hobbies that I work on during my free time. I recently updated my con app portfolio and applied for Otakon lottery again - this reminded me I still want to update my print offerings (esp original work).
Anyways, I have a small art dump of favorite things I drew from earlier this month and/or year under the cut. Lol I’m remember when I used to do this pre tumblr blog days. My art logs are largely caption-less so I added some commentary to these posts.
Watercolor rkgk. I wasn't paying attention when drawing so the anatomy is a little off. The goal as try to use the palette I just swatched as well as the water brush I have (that I lost the cap to!!!). Day has a periwinkle character color so I had to dilute the blue. I was too lazy to get a paper towel to wick water.
Procreate doodle page where top left looks like Ryoma lol. I love old beach brush. I hadn't drawn Soren or Maris or Basil or Shiloh yet for the year s I drew them. I think this was a page I was drawing during the con.
Lyn!! I just cropped the doodle but we are doing a sort of mystery campaign arc so I had to take notes (for me) since we need more brain power. Lol I don't think we will solve the mystery. I drew her with the high cut bunny suit and fishnets - such a good look. Her normal outfits are more modest and more functional to her monk lifestyle.
Day and Anton... they are ambiguously a couple/partnered but I never fully developed it. I like drawing Day with long hair which he will wear half up or in a ponytail - (he knows how people perceive him when it's fully down... b/c I designed him a slutty twink LOL). I like this sketch of them by the sea - Anton looks really disheveled/casual with a flowy tunic (SO unlike how he's typically perceived by others). I think their dynamic is like oh they're privately really vulnerable to each other. I like this drawing too where Day uses his healing magic to help alleviate lingering chronic pain that Anton endlessly endures. Matarin has a culture that values physical strength/skill so Anton (who is more intellectual + his injury affects him physically) secretly suffers and is pretty lonely. WAH.
Ci and Owen from an unnamed space/sci-fi BL that has a working title of M1525. M1525 is a reference to the team numbering system (but idk if it has any place in the current universe). I just need to call it that otherwise I would just be calling it "space gay" haha. Ci is a Black Haired Black Eye character with short hair that he chopped off otherwise he would be too beautiful and Stand Out - though he had very long hair pre-canon and starts to grow it again post-canon. Owen is also supposed to be more manly and rugged but I really love drawing a pretty face LMAO.
As a side note my 2nd favorite OC from this series Terlyn is a cyborg human with prosthetic limbs - I wrote an early ficbit from 2011 (it's so good and cringe LOL) where it's mentioned that Terlyn has a set of prosthetic arms that have an outer silicone layer to make them look seamlessly human - and that (the capitalist/etc) society prefers things looking seamless. But he actually doesn't care about blending in any of his modifications and usually wears the metal versions instead.
Something I love about the worldbuilding things I left myself:
- Some people have surnames (Asher Brighton - Terlyn's husband) but it's a little rare. Most people will reference a sector or planet they are registered to, or they will reference their galaxy standard identification string.
- Terlyn is a made up name LMAO though I did a search and it looks like there is a human character in a 2000s star wars game that has that name? So I guess it's very scifi.
- Owen is a surname (but used as a first name) and Owen's actual name is Alexander Owen and usually stylized as A.Owen. (Alexander has become one of my recurring names in OC universes
- My OG notes are cracking me up because everyone has a different name (that I guess I changed like 2 years in) and originally and Terlyn were a bickering couple but now they are just already established and super in love high school sweetheart husbands (Owen 3rd wheeling)
- Also Terlyn used to be the protagonist but now Ci is.

Drawing manga stylized versions of IRL actors is so hard... I had this issue with drawing Merlin art too. HR fandom is wild... it's a little bit on the so much hype and excitement part of fandom right now, so even though I've enjoyed watching and reading I don't necessarily want to participate in the first wave of content creation. But I LOVEEE a buff bottom boy *cough* Caelan (Soren is also the main person who bottoms, but mostly because he likes both and Maris prefers topping).
