cozy day cozy hobby

We got some sleet/ice/cold!! I’m working from home tomorrow so I can stay off the roads.

As a update to my cancelled plans - my plane would have originally landed tonight at around 9pm CST. Temps are still below freezing so it would have been scary for me to drive on the roads at night (for someone not used to driving in icy road conditions + my increasingly worsening night vision due to age).

I stepped outside very briefly just to check things out and felt very cold, lol.

Cross Stitching

I finished part 3 of my cross stitch last night! I started the new section today.

Journal: MD Diary 2026

Weekends have become my “catch up” days for journaling.

I ran out of my glue dots for my photos. I need to stock up on more.

A fun new addition to my journal pages - I downloaded some art pics from the National Gallery of Art and printed them on my label paper. The print/paper quality isn’t the greatest but using what have around the house is always good.

Journal: Hobonichi A6 5-Year Techo (2021-2025)

(New: Perpetual Journal?)

Baum-Kuchen released an interview with artist Lara Call Gastinger and a concept of Perpetual Journal came up. The concept of compiling layers of years of journal sketches sounded so interesting!

I decided that I might do something similar with my 5-year Techo as 2021-2025 has already passed so I can maybe do more free updates not tied to those years. (I stopped writing in mine lol).

Journal: 6-Ring Binder

I refilled my fountain pens and ink. I only have 3 inks that I have:

I saw someone review a slim travel watercolor palette. It looks so convenient to pack and bring around. I decided to swatch out my travel palette that I haven’t touched in years, lol.

Pen Swatch and Watercolor Swatch will live in the notebook.

Drew my coffee snack!! I cut it down and taped it into my journal page.

I also found a container to house all of my current journals so they can be easy access on my desk (aside from the Weeks and 6-ring which I take with me out of the house).
