it sure was weekend!
I had a busy weekend but it was good!
You can feel that spring is quickly approaching in Texas. We usually have a few additional cold snaps in February/March but this past weekend was particularly warm. Unfortunately the higher temps make the cedar pollen count especially high - So many of us were/are congested.
I have a new work schedule where I’m adding a half-day of work on Fridays. I do get the flexibility to decide if I want that half day to be remote or not so I may loop in some coffee/cafe days with that.

I left the house early on Friday so I could spend ~1 hr on personal fun things before hopping on emails. Unfortunately my neighborhood coffee place is lacking on plugs (I swear they had more before?!) so I just continued my read of Filterworld and moved to a second coffee shop.

I had dinner plans with my brother since I was dropping him off the next morning (Saturday) for his early flight to Japan and figured he was planning to eat out. We got up at 4 am (so so so early).

I ended up stopping by my place for an hour but wanted to avoid the temptation of falling back asleep since I had events I wanted to attend during the day. I went to have a quiet morning/coffee in East Austin at one of my favorite Japanese-inspired coffee/cafe places. They have a very cozy vibe and yummy Japanese toast. I bought a new mug from them as well (the same design/shape as this mug, but I believe is whiter and Bright Orange ink).

I did a small sketch too - while reading some of my RSS feeds.
After that I headed over to a one of our local Stationery stores that was hosting a stationery meet up about 5 min away. It was nice to have a chill stationery session - I didn’t exchange socials or anything with people but had a fun time.

The theme was “punch cards” and making an “about me” page. This was my first time attending so I was really going for a vibe check but next time I think I will bring some stationery goods to share :)
I did end up getting a 2nd coffee (cold brew) as I was still feeling sleepy.
After that I headed over to see my sister and BIL (BIL was participating in his first BJJ event and invited us to view). We got to see him win one of his matches and talked about athleticism in your youth vs in our 30s, ha ha! I realized my camera has some creative filter options so had fun taking pics. This view from the 2nd floor reminded me of the haikyuu spread on the last chapter.

We wrapped up at around 2:30pm but felt like I had such a full day because I had been up since 4am! I headed home and decided just to rest and take it easy. I did a little bit of cross stitch and gaming but ultimately just decided to read and sleep, lol. I was feeling the tiredness catch up to me.
Lastly, DND Sunday!! This weekend we did a snacky session.
